What is believed to be the first edition of the “Original House of Cards" pattern deck designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1952. Included are design proofs, including original layouts, fabric swatches, editing overlays, and two uncut card sheets exhibiting finished pattern decisions. Contents housed in a cardboard folder labeled for the later released “Giant House of Cards," a larger version of the game produced a year later in 1953. Cardboard folder measures 23 ½ x 29".
