FIRST EDITION. This book provides a biographical sketch of Shirase covering his life from childhood and through the Japanese Antarctic Expedition, briefly touching upon other Antarctic expeditions, although the primary focus is on the life and achievements of Nobu Shirase. Ross 2.6.1 (“Scarce”).
