Fine. “Bien amicalement, Olivier Messiaeu -”. Messiaeu was a teacher and one of the most important composers of the twentieth century. One of his most famous works was Quatuor pour la fin du temps (Quartet for the End of Time, 1941) written and first performed in the German prison camp, Stalag VIII-A, that he was interred in.
