Rattling “Pepper Shaker" Coin Vase. English [?], ca. 1880. Turned boxwood vase simulates the appearance of a pepper shaker. A coin is placed inside, and the lid is screwed on. It is heard rattling about inside but vanishes from the interior. Height 4 ½". Uncommon.
