Saint-Saëns was one of the most important French Romantic composers, with his most famous works being Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, the opera Samson and Delilah, Danse Macabre, and Carnival of the Animals (this last piece was featured in the Walt Disney Studios film, Fantasia 2000).
