[1893 CHICAGO WORLD’S FAIR, WORLD’S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION]. Group of 11 Tickets to the World’s Columbian Exposition. [Chicago: American Bank Note Company and Western Bank Note Company, 1893]. Original tickets, three with the original stubs still attached. Sizes range from 2 x 5 ½” to 1 ¾ x 3 ¼”. All with stamped serial numbers. Some mild occasional rubbing, occasional soiling. Excellent. Some tickets include Children’s Special Ticket 1st May to 30th October 1893, Child’s Ticket Oct. 9th 1893, Manhattan Day Oct. 21st 1893, and more. Images on tickets include Ben Franklin, George Washington, Handel, Columbus, Abraham Lincoln and more. These tickets came from the descendants of Harlow Higenbotham (1818-1919), businessman and the President of the World’s Columbian Exposition.
