[ADVERTISING FOLDING FANS]. Group of 13 Folding Fans Advertising Various Commodities. [France and Japan: ca. 1890s-1920s]. Color lithographed or pochoir folding fans, most with imagery on the front and imagery and/or descriptive text on versos, one small fan is a paperweight in a lucite box. Sizes approximately 16 x 9” and smaller. General wear, some tears, toning, soiling, a few with broken blades or guards. Generally very good examples of these fragile items. Advertisers include: Vollot Vernet (two different designs), Brasserie Verdun, Japanese fan with no design or text, untitled small fan with Spanish design, untitled sunflower design, Grand Cafe Nevers, Le Matin, Hotel de Reims, miniature Japanese fan in lucite.
