Without dust jacket. Good. FIRST EDITION, ONE VOLUME ISSUE; PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY MYRDAL ON FFEP: “To Alice Fuller with kind regards Gunnar Myrdal Gwen [?], September 2nd, 1948”. With a previous owner’s inscription on the fp: “Stanley Goss - acquired 2nd hand, Glenwood Springs, July 1974.” This groundbreaking book was Myrdal’s most famous work, a pioneering look at race relations in the United States, and it partially laid the groundwork for integration and Affirmative Action. In 1974, Myrdal was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. Signed copies of this title are uncommon.
