[CIVIL WAR]. Union foot officer’s saber. [“Tiffany & Co New York”] Decoratively-engraved straight steel saber with wooden handle (unwrapped) and brass guard (blade 795 mm; handle with pommel, 140 mm). Blade and guard tarnished, some wear, chipping, cracking to handle. With original brass scabbard and two suspension rings (scabbard bent, tarnished and soiled, saber does not completely fit into scabbard). Still, a decent example.
