Numerous photogravure frontispieces, vignette titles, maps of the Pacific Coast, and plates after drawings and paintings by Mary Hallock Foote, Eric Pape, James Montgomery Flagg, Frank Merrill, Frederick Remington, et al.; twenty-seven of which are signed, including the plate by Frederic Remington; all printed on a type of India proof paper and mounted to heavier stock and embossed with a faux plate mark. Labels slightly chipped and sunned, ends of spines moderately frayed, some spotting and fading to boards, minor dampstaining to vol. X affecting plate image, untrimmed pages; interiors otherwise clean.
