Gypsy Fortune Teller Battery-Operated Toy. Japan: Ichida, ca. 1950s. Batter-op toy depicting witch-like fortune teller who would nod her head, move her crystal ball from side to side, light up her eyes, and dispense a fortune when a penny was dropped into the front slot. Height 10 ½”. Clean, attractive example with scattered light scratches to base; clean battery compartment, but did not respond when recently tested. Lacks fortune cards. Scarce.
